And so it goes....

Progress continues at Honour Village, although I haven't seen the workers there in the last two days.  I wonder if they are all away at a wedding or off on some holiday?

The ladies who cook are pretty excited about the new kitchen.   They have been cooking over simple wood fires since the place opened, and it never ceases to amaze me how they can turn out such wonderful meals.

This is where they cook now

This is where they'll be preparing meals.
What a contrast!

Chhunly and Vichet worked together to put up the end-posts for the new clothesline.  Gordon and I helped.  It was great to come back yesterday to see the clothes strung up on the line.

Gordon's woodworking is coming along very nicely.  He's got seven of the desks (which are actually low tables) roughed out, and nearing completion.  Here's a picture of Sue and the kids trying out the prototype. The kids will sit on the floor to eat & work.
The tables meet with approval.

The central garden-spirit house-pond is really starting to take shape.  I can't wait to see what it will be like when it's finished.

Loads and loads of earth have been delivered to level out the ground and provide a good base for the kitchen garden.  The kids have been having a ball playing on the hills.

Piles and piles of earth
