Last night we dined at Soria Moria, where our friend Chandy works as a waitress to put herself through university. She and her husband were the ones that invited us to join their class trip to visit Preah Vihear temple. Preah Vihear temple has recently been in the news.
According to Chandy, we were on TV! The colonel that Gordon was speaking to at the army base just below Preah Vihear is also a correspondent for CTN (Cambodian Television Network), and while we were at the temple taking pictures, we were unknowingly having OUR pictures taken! The news report showed pictures of our group, and stated that a group of students from BBU (Build Bright University) and two tourists had visited the temple on January 30th. Two tourists! That's us!
Wow, we're famous!
I love it!! Whoo hoo for being famous! I have a funny feeling though that this isn't your only 15 minutes ;) More to come!
